Why choose our office?

We are committed to helping our community to experience the greatest health and well-being possible.

“Salus” is Latin for health. With that in mind, our philosophy is simple. We believe that true health is among our most valuable possessions.  No matter where you start, greater levels of health and well-being are always possible and we strive to help our practice members achieve their health and wellness goals!

Since DD Palmer established the practice of Chiropractic in 1895 when Harvey Lillard’s hearing was restored after a chiropractic adjustment, people all over the world have realized that health comes from within.

These people understand that the wisdom of the body is MIRACULOUS and resides in each of us! The truth is that no pill, no doctor, and no surgery can heal a person.  It is always the wisdom of the body that does the healing from the inside out.

We’ve had the chance to work with hundreds of people in order to help them to have greater health, well-being, and quality of life and we’d love to help you to achieve your health and wellness goals as well!

Dr. Matthew Lapp

Dr. LappI have to admit, I didn’t experience a miracle, but I’ve seen them…

I have always been interested in health and knew at a young age that someday I wanted to work in a health field. It wasn’t until I visited a chiropractor that I knew that my field would be chiropractic.

I first started under chiropractic care during my sophomore year of high school. I was running Cross Country for Coatesville and I was having hip pain and trouble breathing. I visited a chiropractor and almost instantly, the pain was gone. At that time, I realized that chiropractic helps your body to work the way that it should, naturally. I was hooked.

After graduating from Coatesville High School, I attended the University of Tennessee and ran Cross Country and Track while studying Exercise Science and Psychology of Sport.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, I chose to attend Life University in Marietta, GA for my chiropractic education. Life University is the largest chiropractic college in the world! It was there that I really learned what true health is and how it is attained.  It was also there that I met my wife, Dr. Allison Lapp!

We’ve chosen to make our home here because we believe that inside every person is a healthy, happy individual with unlimited potential. It is our mission to help facilitate these possibilities in each and every person we work with. By doing so, we intend to produce a healthier, happier community!

Since I first realized that health comes from within and not from a pill, I have sought to live in a way that promotes an optimal life. During my time as a competitive athlete I received chiropractic care so that I could perform at my best. Now, I receive chiropractic care so that I may perform at my best in other ways. I also exercise regularly, get plenty of rest, keep a positive mental attitude, and try to eat a healthy diet (I do have a weak spot for sweets though).

Thanks for taking the time to visit our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call, or email me using the contact form below and let’s arrange a time to explore what’s possible for you!

Dr. Allison Lapp

I was raised in the Central Valley of California, where my family still resides. In addition to my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, I also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies with an emphasis on Development at the University of Washington in Seattle.

I have been under Chiropractic care since the age of seven and have always felt that the overall quality of my life has been exponentially optimized as a result! I have a true passion for serving others in ways that empower their lives, and have a particular interest in serving those whom have endured abuse or addiction and seek such empowerment in their own life.

In addition to our office in Thorndale, PA, I also provide care at Tree of Life Health Ministries at the Family Center of Gap. I also practice Network Care, a gentle, evidence-based form of chiropractic care that focuses on body awareness and promotes healing strategies through a wellness model.

In my personal time, I love to travel and has spent time in several countries including Italy, France, England, India, Brazil, as well as many places throughout the United States. Matt and I also share a small mutt/princess named Matilda!

Office Manager-Darlene Evans

I live in Avondale, PA with my husband, Howell and I have one son named Stephen.  I was raised in Delaware, but returned to PA in 1992 to be closer to my work.

I’m happy to be a part of Salus Chiropractic Studio-I’ve learned a lot and continue to notice the benefits of regular Network Care!   When I’m not working, I love to spend the day in the kitchen with Howell, cooking for friends and family!
